Locking the steering mechanism allowed my child to work on her balance and pushing without going off course. Within 20 minutes or so she was ready to steer. I like that the height is adjustable and can grow with her, and since this was her first scooter I liked that it had the training mode and freestyle mode (within the first day she already had the hang of it and hasn&rsquo;t needed the training mode). You can&rsquo;t really see the light up wheels outside during the day, but that hasn&rsquo;t bothered her. It is really easy to use, the brake is easy to get the hang of, the base is wide enough for her to put both feet on, and the base and handles and both very grippy so I don&rsquo;t have to worry about her slipping.
