The VTech® Play Smart Preschool Laptop™ is such a great tool to help assist in our learning journey. There are many functions to this and I appreciate all of them. No matter what activity you are working on, any key you touch, says what it is. For example, if we were working on our numbers and my son pushed the "s" button, it would say the letter "s." I really like this because, not only can he see what he pushed, he can hear it, too. There is no wrong answer, just information. This toy is not just a hand over and play, type of learning device. I actually had to sit and show my son how to navigate some of the activities. The up and down, side to side, bar in the bottom middle is easy to find and manipulate, however, he needed the direction of what it was and how it was used. My only gripe about this, is the screen. The tiny little squares that form into the animation on the screen, are so "old fashioned " compared to toys theses days. But over all a good toy and learning device. So, in my opinion, this is a great toy for your child to interact with, with you as well.</span>

We tried to see how well she navigated to find her own games, but it was a little difficult for her. When we chose activities for her, she would go through them but didn't want to continue after a few minutes. Not sure if it was the colorless graphics or difficulty navigating on her own.
I don't fault Vtech for this though, she uses an iPad so was not amused by the smaller screen.</span>
