No engines sounds, and the only thing it does is move pretty fast. The first thing my 3 year old daughter said, Thomas the train doesn't speak or makes any sounds. And why the doors do not open. Other than that she loves playing with Thomas. Took a star off, because of no sounds, and can't run on carpet.</span>
