In The Game of Life: Super Mario Edition board game, players choose to play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, or Yoshi, journeying through the Mushroom Kingdom, and finally spinning to win in a battle against Bowser! They move around the looping paths of the gameboard as they collect coins, power up with items and Companions, and play fun minigames along the way such as Rock Paper Scissors, Thumb Wars, and Spin-Offs. As they approach Bowser's Castle, players will also buy stars to boost their battle-spin; each star collected adds 1 point to their spin total, and players will need to spin higher than a 12 to defeat Bowser and win the game. This fun game for kids and families is for 2-4 players, ages 8 and up.
Includes gameboard, spinner (dial, base, pointer, cardboard insert), 4 character tokens, 24 star pegs (4 of each color), 60 cards (26 Action, 10 Minigame, 10 Companion, 10 Item, 4 Reference) 95 cardboard coins, storage tray, and instructions.

In this game you go through the board as one of the four Mario characters, collecting coins and power ups, playing mini games and finally spinning at the end to win a battle against Bowser.
It is super fun, easy to navigate and set up. I even dare to say that it's more entertaining than the original version. In my opinion the best part is the Mini games along the way. It kinda gives me the feels of a board game version of a Mario Party game.
The board is made of cardboard but is pretty sturdy, the plastic figures are well made and all the little pieces and cards are easy to keep together in the storage tray.
Game play is not fast but doesn't take too long either. It keeps you entertained and engaged during the whole game.
I'm very pleased with the quality, value and fun provided by this game. We have been playing it every other day and my kids can't get enough. I'll recommend.</span>

You have to collect stars to beat the big guy at the end, to beat him you have to spin a high number that the stars help you get. The rules aren't very hard to understand and I was able to play with my 8,7, and 6 year old. I dont think they would've understood if I wasn't explaining it to them at first but they caught on as the game went and I'm fairly confident they can after playing a few times.. at the the 7 and 8 year old.The boys loved that it was Mario and of course my daughter wanted to be princess peach. We all had so much fun playing, they beg me to play it with them almost everyday!</span>
