The magnets are stronger than what you might see in the common block sets, so the shapes you build with these are more durable (to an extent of course), but the different shapes and how they interact with each other really allow some amazing creativity. The only real downside is the same as with the Magformers brand, in that you will be paying a premium for a small amount of objects. Thankfully there are a handful of different configurations available so you can start small and build on to that over time.
