I thought it would be a little sturdier, especially when building it. I know hallow plastic I guess is not the sturdiest material. Not happy I had to drill most holes myself prior to using the screws they supplied. Few more details on the instructions would have been nice. Even the color has not faded. The umbrella only last a couple of seasons, but I expected that. It has been used for countless birthdays, holidays, get togethers, and kid crafts/projects indoors and out. Our family has loved it but kids are now too big for it at 7 and 10 so we are passing it on to another family. We have had many step2 products over the years and all have held up perfectly.
