They are muted and pastel shades instead of your basic classic colors. All very pretty but gives you a different vibe or ability to have a more customizable design. They have a chisel tip so you can easily highlight or underline as well as write. The yellow and green are hard to see and would probably work best as just highlight colors. The most pigmented one is purple. The go on smoothly. The colors are translucent enough that I can see ink through them, and they don&rsquo;t smear the ink from my favorite gel pen (as long as the ink is completely dry before marking over it). These are good for doodling and highlighting, but not so much for large blocks of color. I like that the tip is chiseled for a wider line as well as a thin line. The markers feel nice in my hand and the caps stay on the back end when I&rsquo;m using the markers. They don&rsquo;t bleed through paper as much as regular Sharpies. I use my regular Sharpies on vac seal bags I prepare for the freezer, but these markers don&rsquo;t work well for that purpose. They are best suited to paper, rather than plastic.
