Needs to be tuned upon arrival but is easy enough to do by tightening the strings. Regardless of if you have tubes a guitar before or not, it was easy - just tighten the strings by turning the knobs (I wasn't always sure which direction - so I tried until I noticed a difference). Guitar looks great. Comes with guitar pick and one extra string.
