My brother-in-law is in his 40s and does the same. I love that they have these games to bond over. This set is gorgeous and in my son's opinion, contained many highly valued cards. This box comes with everything you need to play the actual card game. 9 booster packs with blind cards and 1 Snorlax promo card. The illustrations are striking and my son was so excited opening up his new cards. I love that this elite trainer box has generated newfound excitement for the original 151 pokemon.
