The airship does have to be assembled so be aware when determining which aged child this is appropriate for. If your child loves to build they will love putting this together! My 8 year old loves building toys like this and has built a lot. This airship is AWESOME after it is built! It shoots things and is stays together very well unlike other brands! It hold up while my 3 year old plays with it! Only reason I&rsquo;m giving it 4 stars is because my 8 year old told me it just wasn&rsquo;t a challenge to put together. She likes the building process to take a little longer. It has 3 canons to shoot from and he can pretend he is Dario Davinci with Bruce Benett. The pieces were easy to put together and instructions were clear. As soon as we got this he opened it up and was able to put it together pretty quick (he loves legos and can build those sets so this was no problem). Right away he was in a battle and absolutely loved the harpoons it could shoot, which go surprisingly far. This was our first Playmobil toy so I wasn't sure at first if it would be too childish for him since he's been doing legos for years, but it was spot on for him.
