I assumed that the castle was put together in the box but when I opened it, I found I was mistaken. There are a lot of parts in the box but they are labeled well and the instructions are quite clear. The castle is large and has already provided hours of fun, imagination and interaction. It comes with a clear instruction manual and illustrations. The pieces are also sorted and separated into different bags, so it's not confusing to assemble. It took 2 hours to get ready it for our girl. The castle also has bright colors and the pieces are strong so they fit together and separate without bending, breaking or changing color. It looks nice, class quality. All of the pieces are in several bags that are not consistent with the order from the directions. My kids absolutely love this toy but with a hassle of putting it together and keeping it together has lowered my rating. I built this in my classroom for my kindergarten students. They were so excited to finally be able to play with it after seeing me set it up for days. As I was carrying it over to my play area, the castle fell apart and I had to rebuild it again. I wish the bags were ordered and separated by section. Also, you need to find the tool that is provided to make putting the red pieces in much easier. I did not find this tool until the very end. Maybe that&rsquo;s what made setting up so frustrating. I also had a bag of leftover pieces. My students really enjoy this castle and want me to purchase the other sets that can go with the castle. I loved putting this together it was fun to do it took us 8 hours to put it all together piece by piece but it's so beautiful . I would have loved to have a doll castle like this when I was a little kid my girls play with it almost every day .the rooms are big it comes with furniture and two female dolls they have little clothes you put on them .this is a high quality doll house and the kids can move it around without it Falling apart easy. this is great fun for kids of all ages but make sure little kids stay away from it because it has alot small pieces. It was just what she wanted. I was a bit overwhelmed when I opened the box and saw that there were 655 pieces to assemble. That is not an exaggeration it says so on the box. It took me a few hours to put it together. It is not for the easily discouraged. The instructions were actually pretty good. It was step by step 3D drawings and fairly clear if you have ever put together Lego sets or models. I was really impressed by the amount of details in the castle. For example the chandelier was multiple pieces and colors. There are multiple spiral stairs, operating windows, gates and doors. My daughter is absolutely in love. Setup took about 45 minutes but it was a super fun project for my daughter and me. The little characters are about 2-3 inches tall and we love the little outfits that can be changed. She loves the little carriage and horses. It is pretty large once out together. If you&rsquo;re planning on moving it after the fact, think again. It is large enough to set on a standard tv table and will likely fall apart if you try to move it.
