He loves playsets and building them. Him and I usually work together and on this one it was needed more then other sets. This set is pretty awesome with it's details and accessories. They can't play small brick size yet so Playmobil size brick is prefect for their little hands! Plus the assembly is not too complicated compared to small size brick set since mostly the ship body is already build. I can let my 5 yo to build it alone and ask me if need help. She put most of it together herself, but needed a little help snapping certain parts together. The little people are adorable, and they have detailed, tiny accessories. The ship also includes cannons that shoot &ldquo;flaming&rdquo; missiles. She has had hours of fun playing with this set, and was especially excited when she found out it actually floats and got to play with it in the tub! It helped that he was already pirate/boat-obsessed. That said, there's a lot included. This is very much a situation where what you see on the box lives up to what you unwrap, which is VERY important when kiddos get presents. The pieces are all the right size for his little hands, the colors are vibrant, and about a month in, it's held up to appropriate levels of play / abuse.
