This is great for sorting, colors, magnets and cognitive recognition. The magnet in the pen will sometimes lose grip if you're moving it too fast, which has been frustrating for my toddler, but also helpful with showing her to slow down and take your time doing things. One downside to this toy is that the plastic surface seems to get scratched up pretty easily making it look kind of foggy.</span>
