The scent is still as good as it was when bought and the texture hasn't changed at all. The only thing I would warn people about is that it is sticky to the touch but it barely leaves slime residue anywhere and it's super easy to clean up and put away. The container it comes in is very durable and does not make the slime dry out at all.
