It holds a decent amount of water and the stream is good. My daughter loves it already and is trying to get us wet when we are in the pool. The cap on the water hole is easy to open and secures shut very easily with just a few twists. I like the size of the water cap because you can easily fill it with a hose or a faucet with no problems. I really like that the water doesn't leak out the front of the soaker when it's not engaged. All you do is fill it up with water twist on the cap and start pumping and the water comes. It shoots really far too I would say 3 or 4 ft. My son absolutely loves it. It is supposed to be for my son, but I shot my wife in the shower. With cold water. This is her in the photo because of payback. The pump action is fun, reminiscent of a shotgun, with a short stock. The bumpy texture on the stock makes it easier to hold, for my hand, for her hand, for our two kids. The spray is not strong enough to hurt, but powerful enough to shoot maybe four or five feet. I just shot my son with the super soaker to check the range, and mostly empty it got him from maybe four feet or so.
