The idea of placing cards overlaying each other is cool, and they make fun &ldquo;animals&rdquo;. It took a little while to learn, but no longer than most games, and we&rsquo;ve all been able to play from our 4 year old and older. Mykids are outgrowing some of their younger kid games, but my 7 year old isn't quite ready for a lot of 8-10+ games. This one fits the bill! Every person has a hand of monster parts. 4 different features have to be added to each monster, but in order to claim the monster, you need to make it match to a creation card. I figured there has to be some strategy here, and there probably is. But I found I did better focusing on my own cards, than trying to pay attention to my kids' cards (we play with them all laid out since they are clear anyway). So strategy or no, it's a fun game that makes you pay attention to the details. It doesn't take too long, and we get to giggle over silly monster creations. I also appreciate that packaging. The cards actually come in a card box within the game box. I very much appreciate that vs sorting various cards that got jumbled together in one box. My kids are six and eight, and that seems to be a good age for this game. Really I think younger kids could do it too, it&rsquo;s fun for a wide age range.
