When it arrived, my child initially wanted to save it for his grandmother, who is a huge Minions fan. About 20 minutes later, he could no longer resist the urge to rip into the box to try out the new toy, lol. The microphone is on trial mode in the box so you hear the music and the minion singing. Once it is set to play mode, the minion only sings when the microphone is placed to the minion's mouth. Your child can also sing into the microphone with the music, but it is not really amplified. Also, the only song on the microphone is Celebration. Overall, it is a cute toy that can catch a child's attention, but may not hold it for too long.</span>
