My son ripped open the box to start building as soon as he got it and was finished quickly. He has 2 new figures to play with and added them right to his Pok&eacute;mon collection. Overall, the set is on the smaller size so it does not take hours to put together. The figures are not made for little ones as they can break if played with too hard. My son thought it was too hard for him at 6 and had trouble doing much even with an adult helping. I found it odd that though the pieces came in 3 different bags, you needed to open all 3 to make any of the pieces. It would have been nice to have them correlate to the 3 different pieces you make so there was less chance the tiny pieces would get lost. The Pok&eacute;mon did turn out super cute in the end and my son loves them. There were no missing pieces, and the instructions were clear. Our only hiccup was that a couple pieces in Umbreon's legs did not attach firmly/tightly but it so far has not resulted in any problems with the model itself. My older child is the Pok&eacute;mon fan but my 4.5 has not put this down since it arrived &amp; all the pieces are still together! These are perfect for smaller hands. I will be buying more of this collection for both kiddos. I&rsquo;m very surprised how much my 4.5 year daughter loves these. I thought they would play with it for 5 mins and then leave it. I stand corrected. The only thing I don&rsquo;t care for is greenery that came with it but the kids seem to like that too though they mostly play with the characters separately. The characters seem to stay together really well &amp; it&rsquo;s only been a few times that they heads have fallen off. I fully expected the pieces to be scattered everywhere after a week of nonstop play but they seem sturdy &amp; they are holding up really well.
