Upon opening, it is durable, and well made. All of the parts seem very sturdy and fit well, and the articulation points work good. The figurine does stand up by itself. A couple of things to note, this is not a kids toy. It seems to be more of a collectible / display toy as most of the parts pose a choking hazard and the &ldquo;hat&rdquo; does have any way to secure it onto BeastMans head so it flys off with any movement. And an added bonus, the two weapons definitely hurt when used as a little weapon! Doll's legs, arms &amp; head move. His torso is split so that he can hunch over, arch his back and lean to the side. He has synthetic hair on his shoulders, chest and back. Beastman comes with 16 accessories including two sets of hands, two chest pieces, arm and leg gear, and a club and a knife. He's made of hard plastic? and some of his accessories are soft plastic. My grandson loves changing the accessories in and out. My boys were excited to play with it as soon as it arrived. They liked that you were able to take his armor on and off. It allowed for more options when playing. They liked the detail of the furyness of his chest armor but wished that his bottoms were the same type of furyness. The only thing they didn&rsquo;t like was the fact that his club was so pointy. My sons said that when they would pretend fight with it, it would sometimes hurt if they got hit with it. I think it&rsquo;s because the &ldquo;bone&rdquo; detail on the club is made of a thick plastic that doesn&rsquo;t have a lot of give. Another thing they liked was how many parts they were actually able to move. It isn&rsquo;t as stiff as some of their other play figures. The fur shoulder piece is a nice touch and makes it stand out in a collection. I also love the Gaga t that it comes with 2 weapon choices.
