The concept is great, looks beautiful, and it is a huge! My nine year old struggled to put this set together, some of the bricks just did not attach easily. My 13 year son, who loves the other brick builder, even helped her, and said the same thing. I got this for my 11 year olds birthday as her and her father are obsessed with building toys. She absolutely loved the Barbie movie and this house such a nice replica! The pieces all fit together so nicely it took them about a week to do with other distractions involved. The closet is the coolest with slide outs to real outfits. The house opens up for easier play. The colors are bright and vibrant. It is big especially when folded out which we were not anticipating it being so big but the size is perfect for playing. My 5 year old loves playing with her sister and the house. The house was a nice challenge for my 11 year old and even my seasoned husband. It is a somewhat more challenging set and takes more time, but she still loves it. She has been working on it a little at a time after school for several weeks. The bags of bricks are separated and labeled. Each bag of bricks usually is for many steps. The steps in the instruction book are detailed and tell her exactly which pieces she needs to complete the step she&rsquo;s working on. I love how there are so many small details in this set and she uses her imagination to play with it. Love. Love. This barbie dreamhouse! It's a lot of effort to build with almost 1800 pieces, but it's a fun process! The slide is awesome and I loved the details of the palm trees and the rest of the accessories. Better yet my little one absolutely loved playing with it. I did like however that the manual was wrapped up in the box. I think it would be more convenient for siblings if there was 2 books instead of one that way one can work on one half and the other can work on the other half. As for the blocks there self they went together pretty good the only part that was difficult to snap is when you put the tiers on it was hard to line them up and there really wasn&rsquo;t many snap locations. In A short summary I believe this is a nice toy for kids of that age and will keep them busy for several hour&rsquo;s. This set it great. My niece and I were able to put this master piece together. The details are awesome. On the first floor we have a kitchen living room and a rec room with a pool side bar. There is a swimming pool outside with a patio. Upstairs on the second floor Barbie has her dressing room and bath room. Finally on the third level there is Barbies bedroom. Building this took us awhile to complete. At the end it was a great set to build and watch my niece play with. My 9 year old love this! It took her multiple days to build the house. The book was easy to follow. Patience is truly needed due to the amount of pieces. After the kit was built.
