The dryer is battery powered so it makes real noises and lights-up, while spinning just like an actual machine! It’s perfect for little ones who love pretend-play, like mine do!
The cute little laundry storage baskets are great for putting the mini clothing items inside and they’ve been enjoying sorting them into colours too - why not start them early! The detergent drawer opens and closes just like a real one too and they have loved pretending to pour the liquid inside.</span>

He thinks the washer dryer is real and throws in his clothes to wash them! Its so realistic as it spins and makes realistic noises. It’s perfect for role play and really sparks his imagination - he even insists on taking it from room to room when he changes where he’s playing and has to have it in his bedroom to sleep! If only doing the real washing was this much fun!</span>

He loves pretending to help do the laundry and I feel like it’s also teaching him to be more responsible and learn chores early. The play set has so many realistic features of a real washer/dryer. My little one places his own clothes in the “washer” and pretends to wash them and dry them. It even has a cute faux backsplash that gives a realistic laundry room feel. I love everything about this laundry play set and so does my little one! I would definitely recommend it!</span>

There is a small amount of assembly as the extra baskets are shipped in the back of the washer and you will need to remove the accessories and then attach the back of the washer to complete the assembly.

The drum will turn on the Little Tikes First Washer-Dryer, but the door needs to be shut all the way in order for the drum to rotate.

The Little Tikes First Washer-Dryer is a pretend washer and there are electronics that cannot get wet, so we would not recommend the use of water with this toy.

That shelf that is pictured comes with the First Washer-Dryer and is packed in the back of the washer with the extra parts.
