They love mystery everything, it makes it so much more exciting. This, they love the mystery of which animal and scent they will get. My 3 year old likes the fact that she gets to bathe them, smell them, and brush them. This comes with 1 mystery Scruff a Luv, 1 collar with tag, 1 Adoption certificate, 1 comb, and 1 hair clip. They are super soft and the scent is just enough without being too much. Its super cute and great for any child! We had 2 previous to this new one and each one always came out a matted mess no matter what we did. The kids love them though so I cant really deny them what they like. We took it out of the package and started the whole prosses with submerging it in water trying to unmatt it. After about 30 mins or so we quickly dried it off with a bath towel and this time put it in the dryer to dry instead of air dry. I think the dryer is the key because this one came out better after being brushed than our previous ones. We got a cute rainbow pig out if ours. My daughter has to sleep with it every night now. I'd say its a hit. While I hate the process of getting these things looking good, I do recommend it. The kids were so excited the day our Scruff-A-Luv arrived in the mail. Once we read the simple directions they got to work opening the package and washing the ball of matted fur. Washing and drying our little Scruff-A-Luv was so much fun! I think the anticipation of finding out which animal we were adopting was keeping the momentum going. It does take a little bit of work to get it all washed and brushed. But to our surprise, our first Scruff-A-Luv was the RARE PIG!! The kids were so excited! Not only is the pig super cute but it smells so sweet! Overall we enjoyed the process of discovering what animal was in our package. The stuffed animal has joined the pile of other stuffed animals, to be played with at random times. If your child likes blind bags or surprise boxes, and loves stuffed animals they will love Scruff a luvs. My daughter was excited that hers turned out to be a dog with a fruity scent. First you get your Scruff a Luv wet and let it dry and you get to play with your new stuffed pet animal.
