As a kndg/ preschool teacher, it may be difficult for some 3 yr. olds but great for 4 and 5 yr. olds for both color and numeral recognition as well as practice in counting and taking turns. My granddaughter was familiar with the story so it was even more appealing to her.Great follow-up activity to the story if using in a classroom setting.</span>
