They love to play shopping and the scanner gives them their own experience of checking out in a store. The items are the perfect size for their hands. My only disappointment is the required precise fit of the item/food with the scanner. It is a square with small raised knobs that have to fit into the scanner in order to hear the beeping sounds. It can be difficult for the young one to line these up precisely. May not be an issue for some as they may not want to hear the beeping sound as much. Cute make believe toy.</span>
