However, the price was better than other chairs I compared it to and is well built with many great learning features. He loves all the special features it has like the storage where he hides treats. Or the Handy Dandy notebook with sounds. But his favorite is the mailbox where we put small presents for each other. It's exactly like the Blues Clues TV show, so your little one can feel like they're truly in on the action! You sit on an actual chair, and it has a seat sensor so when they sit down it makes noise and talks to you. Your can also lift the seat and there is a storage space underneath. Up top, there is a mailbox on the left armrest area that opens and comes with a little piece of fake mail. On the right armrest area, is the handy dandy notebook with some plastic pages to flip through and some interactive buttons. What I love most, is that the chair was designed with a wide base so I don't worry about my toddler tipping over in it. Even if she tried to stand in it, it still probably wouldn't tip. That's good thinking In my book! There are 2 things I wish were different, thus the four Stars- the mailbox just sits on the surface of a circular thing that resembles a cup holder. The cool part is that your little one had a cup holder there on the chair. The bad part is the mailbox falls over and out of it ALL the time. The circle post is way too shallow to hold it and it isn't a tight fit. I also wish the handy dandy notebook was something that could pop out of the armrest and travel with your little one while they go on an adventure looking for clues! Instead they are limited to the chair. They love pretending to receive and send mail and play the learning games built in to the chair. Its totally plastic with no fabric or soft cushion which makes it great for keeping it clean and wiping it down. It is slightly smaller than expected - they have another kid lounge chair that will likely last them a few years longer due to the larger size. The removable mailbox makes a cup holder but the opening is too small for all of our sippy cups. It could have been deeper and a little bigger.
