He was so excited by the details on the car, and at 11, he was happy he could work the remote controller well enough...took us a while to find a small enough screwdriver to get the plate off and insert the AA batteries. Aside from that, I can see anyone enjoying this well-made toy. I tried it too and loved it! It is sturdy and and fast and looks so realistic. The battery life lasted through several races and it handled easily and made all the turns in our driveway.
