When he was younger he'd play with it mindlessly, but now feels for the various textures, brings it to his face for further exploration, and responds to the hidden mirror. The colours would catch his attention when we moved it about for him. Now at six months he loves gripping on to the tentacles, putting the rings in his moth and plating with the different textures. I hook it to my handbag strap so that i never forget to bring it, and then attach it to the pram so that it doesnt get lost. Its also great to dangle from the coat hook/handle in your car near your babies car seat so that they can see and explore it while you drive. It has interesting attachments and materials to engage babies sensory development, such as a mirror hidden underneath the tentacles, great for when its above babies head. Easy to keep clean. Very durable toy, will last years and years and survive lots of rough play without fraying or broken bits. It stays as new with regular washing.
