This was hard for my son (7) to build. I had to help him for most of it and even I thought some of the pictures were hard to understand. The instructions could be more clear and the building was hard to do dexterity-wise for him. I think it's better for older kids or kids that are just really advanced in Lego building.

Fun beginner technic
My daughter and I enjoyed building this together. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is it still feels like technic is marketed for boys. My daughter loves it, but isn't very interested in the most of the designs. This one was a rare exception.

Fantastic, Fun & Educational
This is a great kit. This is the second kit I have purchased as a therapy tool to help my mom dealing with her stroke recovery. The parts are too small for her to handle. But that was already accounted for. She was able to follow the book finding a touching the next part required. Occasionally just to check, I would use the wrong piece. She was able to correct me pointing to the step in the book. As other reviewers have said , this is a great kit in all respects. It looks fantastic, was fun to build and the working elements, educational.
Dear Lego, please do more kits like these.
Thank you Lego ❤️

Nice little build
Nice little machine, could do with a side stand tho. Easily rectified this, only needs something simple like a T bar. Which could be inserted in the black peg at the bottom of the frame, perhaps Lego could look into this??(shown in last image) would have give full ratings if it had a stand.

Simple yet elegant, a modern hidden gem
As an entry-level model of merely 163 pieces, most would not have much expectation for this kit, but coming from the age where 1000+ pieces kits are the norm, this tiny bike somehow manages to deliver a full Technic experience without compromise.
Motor bikes are no stranger in the Technic line, but a 163-piece bike with a chain-driven functional (Technic-wise) engine is a rarity on its own, even during the good old 80's and 90's you could only get a bike with a working engine in the 300+ piece range. The using of regular pins as pistons in the engine is some really clever thinking, given the space available it added a considerable level of complexity beyond what an entry kit normally delivers.
The bike's body proportion is pretty good considering the size, even the tire sizes are different to reflect the ones on real choopers. The stickers are a bit much for such tiny kit, as without them it still looks nice.
In conclusion this kit is kind of a sleeper-hit in my opinion, as modern Technic kits usually favour style over functions, but this bike proves that the old Technic spirit that focus on function over style is not yet dead.

Great little build, awesome for beginners and pros
I only started doing Technic builds about a year ago, and have been just delighted with everything I've built. I think Technic can be a little intimidating to kids (and adults!) who have built solely with bricks. It is a very different Lego experience that focuses on precision and following directions versus being meant as a springboard to creativity and personalization.
I find Technic challenging in part because I generally need to double-check piece lengths against the instructions (thank goodness they have that feature!), so builds take longer than brick-only ones.
This is a very small kit as Technic sets go, with a very satisfying and sturdy motorbike as a result. It's bigger than minifig-sized, so the details and interactive features like the moving engine pistons are easy to see. It's totally action figure sized.
Because of this, plus the low price point, this kit is awesome for introducing people to Technic, especially how durable the things you build are -- my monster truck has had many crashes, and this bike has survived a lot of smacks into the wall after going down a ramp, or cat attacks and chomping on.
