<span itemprop="description">Took me about 10 hours to build it. But that's because I messed up half way through and had to take it apart to fix it. If you pay attention to the directions it's a very cool build. Lots of moving parts the rotor assembly is very repetitive but is definitely worth them money.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Super simple fix:
Rotate the 5 black 1x2 technic pieces in the rotorhead that connect the grey links between the blade and swash plate 90° down - I.e. so the ball linkage is down. This lifts the blades just enough so that when the collective is fully down the blades are flat - as they should be. Then when you raise the collective the blades angle to produce lift. You can actually feel them generating a breeze so you know it’s working.
This is a brilliant set with an excellent build for the flight controls, It’s such a shame that so much effort went into it and such a big detail was missed. When the collective (swash plate up and down) is raised, the rotors go flat - in reality this would produce no lift and the helicopter would go nowhere.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This technic set is awesome because it uses a lot of gears and linkage to replicate the intricate movement of the cyclic and collective on the main rotor blades. The fact that you can actually use the cockpit controls makes it even better. The addition of the opening doors, gear retraction and winch movement are just icing on the cake. If you like functionality and seeing how things work, this is the kit for you.</span>
