There is a great mix of new and old with quirky new figures and a few references to old-school LEGO themes. These are a blast to put together and display. I find the Alien Tourist to be especially hilarious. For those who are upset about the bags being replaced with boxes, there is an app called Bricksearch that allows you to scan the QR Codes on the boxes to see which figure is inside. Falcon Bricks also has a website that allows you to do the same in a mobile web browser. I've found both to be 100% accurate so far, and I've been able to get most of this series and avoid duplicates/wasted money. However, you will obviously have to shop in stores to take advantage of this.
Date published: 2024-05-11

Rated 5 out of 5 by ColonelFoamyBrick from Amazing series! As an avid minifigure collector (and army builder at that) this is an amazing series. First series in a while where I am going to try to get all of the minifigures. Love the classic Space Theme throwbacks!
Date published: 2024-05-10

Rated 1 out of 5 by Parent from Enough with mystery boxes The figures themselves pretty good, the series has a number of fun options. The issue is the boxes, and those boxes over bags causing to many repeats. For years I've collected every figure in a series, even if I didn't love them because I never got repeats. Through the last few series that have had boxes, I tried collecting them but I end up with like six of one figure and still missing others. It is not fun, and it feels like a huge waste of money. Legos stores should offer the opportunity to purchase the entire series in one flew swoop. Also it seems very much like a greenwashing story about how boxes are more eco-friendly and that is reason for switching. You sell a plastic toy, which I imagine has a larger carbon/pollution footprint than bags. If creating a box causes people to buy more plastic toys than they need, isn't the switch actually worse for the environment. I get it in theory it would be better for the bottomline, but if we think critically wouldn't creating more pollution be the opposite goal of the whole moving to boxes thing. Finally it's not the end of the world for me, I will just buy less legos. That said I imagine those who lose out are those kids whose parents just make ends meet. And a five dollar toy is a stretch for, likely they don't want to deal with the anxiety of buying their kid a repeat toy. So I bet they just tell them no, we are not getting those. Also a bunch of your reviews look astroturfed. No normal person likes boxes, and anyone that actually cares about the environment would see the issue with creating a system that encourages people to buy more stuff then one wants.
Date published: 2024-05-10

Rated 2 out of 5 by kgib from Bad Time buying Multiple The figures are great and each seem to come with a plethora of unique accessories but I can only recommend against buying any sort of bulk for collecting purposes, which was surprising to me from the lego storefront. Purchased 6, 3 of which were the same, along with a double and then one individual figure - so 3/6 duplicates.
Date published: 2024-05-09

Rated 5 out of 5 by shroomzofdoom from Absolutely LOVE these designs! Such creative designs. Excellent torso and arm prints. Abosolutely love these. It took a bit for the transition to boxes to work, but now the QR codes work for US (assuming Mexico manufactured) so there's a lot less frustration to ensuring you get the whole set without spending too much and having to feel around bags.
