<span itemprop="description">This is probably the most fun i've had building a Lego set so far. Some of the details and the mechanical components are very well thought through, i particularly love the interior detail, and very cleverly designed. Had hours of fun building this with my wife (both AFOLs). It's also suprisingly big - can't wait to get it on display!
However, the set is ever so slightly let down by some poor packaging decisions. Notably, the choice to put big important pieces like the transparent windscreen - obviously a major aesthetic piece - in a poly bag together with other pieces that all scratch against each other in the box. It's not the end of the world...but for such a premium kit, you'd sort of just expect key pieces that can easily show damage to come individually packaged or with some better protection around them.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Honestly can say that I am Impressed with this.
The level of detail that has gone into this really makes me wish I had the money for a real ECTO-1, but this definitely fills that hole (to an extent), the front door mechanism used was a really interesting build, at first it looks like it's gonna break easily but once built, shows a lot of strength, the engine bay was probably my favorite bit to build, seeing all the different parts come together for form the V8, the classic dashboard really shows the level of commitment that has gone into it, the iconic Cadillac tailfins have been amazingly rebuilt and the little rust stickers give the set more character.
Overall I would recommend this set to anyone who's a Ghostbusters fan, a car fan, or anyone who's looking for an interesting and somewhat challenging build.</span>

Le pare brise de la voiture a des marques de frottement, je m'en suis aperçu après avoir mis les stickers sur celui-ci.
Une plaque 2x16 Lg utilisée à l'étape 111 était tordue avec une marque d'amorce de rupture.
Encore une fois trop de stickers, je n'ai d'ailleurs pas coller les taches de rouilles que je trouve redondantes.</span>

The build is pretty simple but the end result is outstanding. As with everyone else, left the hideous rust stickers off.
Disappointed there was no plaque and minifigs but looks excellent with 6" figures.
Not quite 1989 Batmobile and UCS Slave I but not too far behind for me. Great job Lego.</span>

I personally left those and keep my echo-1 clean without the rust!! Functionality are pretty cool also! But the only thing I would of appreciated to have included in the set are minifigures just like the Batmobile and the Batwing especially with the asking price!!! But hey overall this is a very good set and a must for Ghostbusters enthusiasts and car lovers as well.</span>

As a massive fan of 80's movies I was so excited, and I havent been disappointed. I loved the build and the thought that have gone in to all the details. Im seriously tempted to get a 2nd one to have in pristine condition as opposed to the rusted look. This is my2nd favourite model and only behind the 1989 Batmobile The only negative is the lack of detail panel and minifigs. Can we get a Delorean or KITT on the same scale please?</span>

<span itemprop="description">Ok well first of all before i write the review a replacement is in its way. Ordered this when it came out and after 5 days of waiting it arrived. Unfortunatly the box was crushed at one end. It Wasnt well packaged. Mine looked as if it had been stood on or thrown across the warehoue. Dont know if any of the bits are damaged as i wasnt going to except it. My advice to anyone that if you are not happy. Send it back. Dont worry about anything. They will replace it for you. Unfortunatly for me i have had to wait another week for it to come back in stock and then probably another 5 days to recieve it. I hope this gives anybody some piece of mind. Other than that i cant wait to actually recieve mine. I hope i get the same amount of enjoyment out of it as everyone else has.</span>

<span itemprop="description">First time this happened and I don't know how to say this... I buy lots of Lego, and this never happened before... Roughly 40% of my ECTO1 pieces are damaged, scratched, and some pieces are missing. Infact, it is so scratched and damaged that it saddens me when I look at it on display. I bought lots of Lego, so I was able to scavenge some missing pieces from my piece collection box, but I think I got myself an early production copy or something. I don't want to give up my faith in Lego just yet because of one bad experience. These things happen, but if someone from the Lego team can please help me, or send me another copy that isn't so damaged, I would truly be grateful.</span>

**Please Lego, package the windscreen separately to avoid it getting scratched! Luckily mine was ok.

<span itemprop="description">Etant fan des 80's je ne pouvais pas passer à côté de l'Ecto-1 (ca change un peu de Star wars aussi).
Le rendu final est plutôt bon et assez détaillé. La Cadillac est assez imposante et fait sont effet une fois exposée et accompagnée par des accessoires de l'univers Ghostbusters.
La voiture n'est pas spécialement fragile si on la manipule une fois terminée sauf peut être quelques pièces des pare chocs (elle est conçut pour être posé sur une étagère donc pas problématique).
Comme dit précédemment, il y a pas mal de stickers de petite taille...il faut être soigneux car ces stickers supportent moyennement un redécollage en cas d'erreur.

<span itemprop="description">Ive been building sets for over 6 years. I only do the large count ones also. I looked forward to building the Ecto 1 as I am a HUGE Ghostbusters fan. While I for the most part enjoyed this set, I also was really frustrated... Everytime i moved the car to put the windows on the front bumper would pop off! Putting the backhatch door on also resulted in some clever maneuvering. One bag didn't have 2 pieces that were needed so I had to sub from other sets i had leftovers from. Overall I'm glad to have set, just wish pieces would stay together better.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Commandée le jour de la sortie pour ma part, L'Ecto 1 de Ghostbusters Afterlife devait intégrer la collection au plus vite.
Comme toujours avec un produit Lego de ce calibre, j'ai été soufflé par les détails, ne serais ce qu'à la découverte du livret d'instructions qui ressemble à une revue technique.
L'Ecto est bien rendue et dans les bonnes proportions par rapport à une vraie que j'ai déjà pu voir et passer du temps à son bord. Elle raviera à la fois les puristes des films, les maquettistes et les fans de Lego par son imposante présence et son niveau de finition exemplaire.
La construction était toutefois assez difficile, la mention 18+ étant donc largement justifiée.
Comme toujours aussi malheureusement, le set souffre de défauts qui commencent à gangréner beaucoup de sets, ce qui me fait porter une mention "bon" uniquement à celui-ci: Les nombreux stickers simulant la rouille à poser avec minutie deviennent stressants à poser et rébarbatifs vu qu'ils sont répartis en 4 gammes identiques.
De plus, je n'ai pas apprécié de recevoir le pare brise et les deux vitres latérales arrières complètement griffées, m'obligeant à en demander de nouvelles. Il serait opportun que ces pièces ne soient pas rangées dans le même sachet vu leur taille, les frottements entre elles provoquant les griffes en question.</span>

<span itemprop="description">As a HUGE lifelong GB fan I think this build is great! I also have the earlier 1984 ecto-1 build and am happy to display both. The parts and stickers were good, the instruction book was easy to follow and also included tons of fanfare for the GB fan in me. Please make more official GB sets LEGO! Bring back the firehouse!! Anyway, if your reading the reviews your already in deep enough that you should get this.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Belle pièce que cette Cadillac, elle est imposante, plutôt fidèle au modèle d'origine (on a vu vu largement pire chez Lego), pas mal de détail, bref une réussite.
Le montage est plutôt simple et sympa (surtout en sortant de 2 gros set Technic), elle se monte plutôt rapidement.
Une Delorean de la même veine, c'est pour quand?</span>

<span itemprop="description">I saw this and bought it the day it came out. A challenging build in places, but some nifty new build tricks, and the designers have done an amazing job (as ever) in replicating one of the icons of my childhood.
It looks fantastic - definitely one to keep away from my 7yr old!</span>

<span itemprop="description">From the outset, this is a great build. Lots of small stages so easy to do a bit and stop (if you can). The background at the start was great to read, well done Lego.
At each stage, there are worthwhile additions to the model, till that last bag is finished. Along the way, you can learn some interesting build techniques.
However, it didn't stop there I was soon imagining myself leaving the Firehouse and speeding through the streets of NY. The only feature missing, ridiculously soft suspension. Now there is a fun project, hours trying to add-in suspension and perhaps a motor or two.
This model is just so much fun, even at my age.</span>
