This is a fun and inspirational set! We had a good time choosing which monsters to build first, finding the pieces and, with a little help, he was able to build all the monsters himself. We enjoyed naming the beasts, and we've continued playing with the characters. The extra bricks are a wonderful addition, we've used them to make some new builds (friends for the beast) and we've modifed the ones in the box with the extra pieces. Lots of key skills are being used in this set. For new builders this set has a bit of everything. The builds are simple, and short enough for new builders to stay engaged, and enjoy their awesome creations.
