There were literally no instructions for this. You have to use the lego app and the instructions there are still terribly vague. Not worth the time, money or headache. Worst lego purchase ever. Other Lego apps are on the fire tablet so I did not verify compatibility and gave this to my son for Christmas. Now he cannot build it. At least Lego could have an optional instruction PDF available on the website to download but they don't... It was the Christmas present he kept coming back to. The missions have really encouraged him to not just build as per a set of instructions but to really make the spaceship his own. It's reminded me of the alternative ideas for sets that used to be on the back of Lego sets boxes when I was a child. I love how you can make the set with a story and make your own custom ship and at the end you can make extra things with the spare parts. In his words 10 out of 10. The app that drives the build experience is fantastic and gives a good balance of instruction plus opportunity to be creative. It also really extends the play time compared to other sets, where it's not just build and done. I thought this would be great as he likes Lego city adventures so natural next step. We got to mission 3 of both this and another set and that&rsquo;s when it all fell apart. The app has issues and wouldn&rsquo;t load - blank screens. I contacted support and as I write this they have acknowledged the issue but no fix yet (15th May 2023 - been over a week wait so far). Up to this there were some minor other issues but generally if it was working well would have been a great experience otherwise. I then found out that there is no printed version / PDF version. I was expecting a comic strip with some of the build exercises and the building steps - but nothing available. I think in future I will only buy these kind of sets if they aren&rsquo;t 100% app reliant. I think this is a real shame to make this fully reliant on the app and then there is no backup when it fails.
