They were very entertained digging for hidden treasures. As a mom, I appreciate that the sand doesn't get that messy. The kids enjoyed molding the sand as well, without the sand getting everywhere, so yay! I would say keep it as a table top activity for sure. The size of the toy is nice and small so we can pack it easily to bring on-the-go.</span>
