He got so excited by this one that we had to get the app and he eats everynight with the toy sitting next to him. It has a great roar with movable limbs and head. I love that the dino code is more protected than previous Jurassic World dinos. A lost sticker scan code led to a very sad child. On this dino there is tab with the scan code that pulls out of its body. When scanned with the app you can view additional info on the dinosaur. I saw that it had an interactive app you could use after scanning the code on the dino and figured it would just take us to a little blurb about Eocarcharia dinosaurs and show some &quot;fun facts&quot; so didn't think much of it. The dino itself seems to be high quality and has great detail. My only complaint is that the mechanism you use to move and tilt the head is pretty hard to move effectively for little fingers. We pulled out some of our collection and played dinos for a bit and before we put it away, I decided we may as well have a look at the app. I am so glad we did! While it does have some fun facts and educational value, it also has games that test your dinosaur knowledge and let you care for a digital version of your dinosaur! My kids love playing different pet games that allow you to feed, decorate, doctor and care for little creatures and this was just like that but with a fun educational bonus! The app gives you timed challenges where you feed, doctor and clean your dino. Its fun because it quizzes your child on diet, habitat, etc but does so in the form of a game. Kids can unlock more dinos and learn countless facts about them. We played with the app for about an hour taking turns (because everyone wanted to try it out) and still haven't seen all that the it has to offer. If you have a dinosaur fan in the family and play with/ collect dinosaur figures anyway, this app and toy are such a big bonus when expanding your collection. This dinosaur has a small push lever on its back that allows you to move the dinosaur's head from left to right and it also ROARs as well. There is also a hidden scan code on the dinosaur's back that allows you to learn more about this dinosaur, the region it's from, and more about all of the dinosaur's. You can download the app via the App Store for your device (app is free). You scan the code on the dinosaur, and it will load up the dinosaur's screen - as you can see we did in the photos. In the app you can see that there are 19 dinosaur's to unlock and this is our 1st one. Each dinosaur has a region assigned to it - Jungle, Mountain, Desert, and Shore. The Eocarcharia is from the Mountain Region. There are also 69 dinosaurs from the Jurassic World Dominion and 257 dinosaurs from Jurassic World that can all be unlocked as well. The app also has games for the kids to play that are all dinosaur related games. The app also features a Dinosaur of the Week that you can learn about as well. The App uses Augmented Reality and may require physical movement. Overall, this is a great toy for my Dinosaur loving child. I like that it has the App addition that we can use while we are in the car, or waiting. However, if you bump the head, it'll work the same way which made for a scare. So just maybe aware of that when putting it away. It does have two different roars depending the way you turn the head.
