It has a hard plastic head with a stretchy body and the body has these styrofoam balls that make a scrunch notice while they are playing with it. It has pretty cool design it almost reminds me of like old toys from like the 80s or something. This is pretty cool. She's always trying to stretch it out to its limits and the Dino keeps winning. The toy can take a good beating and maintain its shape and appearance like nothing ever happened. So it's no surprise that he loves this toy. I love how durable it is and that even if his brother gets it and chews on it that it's not gonna break and cause a choking hazard. It is very stretchy as described and just a fun squishy toy for kids. My only negative is that the head is hard and in turn if they stretch it and release only one hand than the head can hit their other hand hurting them. (I know bc I did this to myself. He has not done it yet thankfully). The pants also comes off which my son just thinks is hilarious.
