They had lots of fun play fighting pretending to be the bad guy. Even after smashing the action figure on the floor multiple times, it&rsquo;s still intact. He was very excited on opening the box, at first he was a bit scared, he played with the He-man for a few minutes but was not that interested. This toy probably is more of a collectors item. I will say that later he used it to chase his 2 sisters around to scare them. I am sure the He-man figure will be played with but I can not say it held his attention for long, this is too advanced for a 4yr old...I am sure He man collectors will love it as the detail is amazing. I have learned a lesson in this review. It was very exciting to see his reaction on opening the toy. I would put age of toy more for 6yr olds and up. The toy really doesn't do very much as far as movement. He-man figures are very collectable with older children and I see more adults looking at them in the stores then I do children. First off, the deco on this figure is great; whether it's the dual tone yellow/green that meet in the middle of the figure, the gold accents on the head, hands, and knees, or the really cool semi-translucent material on the wings that replicate the starfield effect from the show, this figure is a visual treat. The figure also has great articulation for a figure this size. You can get it to move in just about any way you'd want and the tail makes balancing the figure pretty easy no matter how you have the massive arms positioned. The jaw can also open/close and the wings can also rotate and be moved forward/back. The wings are unfortunately also my biggest critique of the figure; the pins that attach the wings to the body don't seem very durable and the left wing doesn't rotate well and there's a real risk of breakage if you try to force it. The right wing moves freely however, so it's possible that this is just an isolated issue. The coolest feature of the figure (and the one that my son made me promise to include in my review) is that Cosmic Terror Skeletor has small versions of He-Man's Sword of Power and Skeletor's Havoc Staff shoved into his shoulders (just like in the show) and they are used as levers to control both of his arms. I love it when action features are worked into the aesthetic of a figure and this is maybe one of the best examples of it that I've ever seen. All in all, this is a great figure and my kids mention how cool it is nearly every time they pick it up. When we first saw Cosmic Terror Skeletor in the TV show, my oldest son immediately asked if there would be at toy based on this version of the character and I told him that I didn't see how they could pull it off. Well, Mattel found a way and they knocked it out of the park. He watched the new He-Man series with me, and then some of the original episodes, so had some context on this character. He was really happy to see it, the assembly was fairly easy, however, I struggled with getting the wings in and was worried that they were backwards and couldnt get them back out. Once they're in, they're in. The wings are my favorite detail, theyre deep purple with white speckles and it almost looks astrophysical. They can be positioned many different ways and look very intimidating. The horns around his head are flexible and and made from a single mold which gives me the impression that its less likely to break or tear off. Levers on the back control the arms, which end in huge claws. It has joints to twist at the arm, elbow, head, tail and ankles, which encourages creative play and sensory input. Overall, i feel like this was a pretty high quality toy. When I ask the little guy what he thinks about Skeletor, he had a lot to say. Its been a couple of weeks and its continued to hold interest. This action figure can stand easily on its own and the wings can be folded down. It feels sturdy and durable, not like its made out of cheap flimsy plastic. They love his scary demeanor and big horns. They played with him for a few days before I realized we'd missed the wings and tail attached to the packaging and they almost got tossed into the recycling! The tail sometimes falls off, but it's not a big deal to reattach it (it only goes on one way, ask me how many times I tried to put it on before I figured that out!) They argue over who gets to be the &quot;bad guy&quot; and play with this toy, has really held the interest of my 5yo especially. I was so surprised when it arrived how scary looking it was. It took a little assembly of putting the wings on and the tail but were really simple to push on. Once the wings and the tail are on, it&rsquo;s pretty big. Two small levers on the back can move the arms up and down.
