It take lot of and fast cranking get bubbles going. It's so hard to turn, there is no way little kids have strength to turn fast enough to get any bubble. Definitely better than the battery versions because it does not need any. The bottle screwing in from the bottom ensures that the kids cannot easily spill the bubble solution - minimizing waste. The 3-4 yrs old kids might need a little help, learning to spin-up the bubble blower, but once they get used to it, they&rsquo;ll have a blast! Did I mention that you don&rsquo;t need batteries? In summary: keeps kids active, no batteries, and minimal spillage! Happy to find a no battery option that works and is easy to use for my 6 and 4 year olds. Makes lots of small bubbles and great price.
