Your mission: mine the asteroid for awesome space treasure! This Galaxy Goldmine game is the out-of-this-world family card game that requires strategic thinking, memory, and a bit of luck. Players take turns exploring the asteroid's 3 layers of cards, full of surprises waiting to be revealed. Players choose from their Tool cards, each featuring a high-tech gadget with a unique capability, to uncover and collect cool space treasure worth points. Players might even find a rare Holomap Fragment leading to the greatest treasure this side of the Milky Way. But watch out for Event cards with pitfalls, aliens, and bandits! When the table draws 3 Black Hole cards, the game ends and the player with the most points wins! Or collect all 3 Holomap Fragment cards to instantly win! Humorously illustrated, this light strategy card game delivers intergalactic fun. And with an eye-catching package and built-in storage, it makes a great travel card game for families or fun gift for kids ages 10+. Good for kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game gets better the more you play honestly. My kids are 5 & 6 and enjoy it. I wish each character had their own special ability that could change the game based on who you were each time. Not sure how older kids would enjoy it as it does seem like a pretty simple game but it was great for our family. Easily to learn and play together.

Fun for kids and adults alike (with a twist)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before posting my thoughts, I made sure to thoroughly play "Galaxy Goldmine" to provide a detailed review.
Packaging and Design:
The game immediately impresses with its adorable box, which mimics opening the doors of a spaceship, setting the thematic tone right from the start. The cards inside are not only beautifully designed but also boast sturdy construction. However, it's worth noting that the setup process can be a bit time-consuming.
Gameplay Experience:
My initial plays were quite revealing. The game ended once when three black holes were drawn and another time when a player collected all three Holomap fragments. It's predominantly a game of chance, with limited control over outcomes, which means strategy plays a backseat role. In one game, luck significantly favored me over the other player, highlighting the game's fast-paced nature and the influence of chance. Despite this, the rules are straightforward, making it easy to jump right into the action.
Audience and Enjoyment:
"Galaxy Goldmine" can be a hit with kids, provided they're taught to be good sports, as it can be a fun way to learn about sportsmanship and handling loss. For adults, it has great potential as a light-hearted drinking game, with rules like taking sips based on the points of valuables uncovered, adding a fun twist to the proceedings.
Final Thoughts:
I genuinely enjoyed playing "Galaxy Goldmine" and look forward to more sessions with my kids and as an entertaining option for nights when my husband and I have a babysitter. It's a game that can cater to both family fun and adult entertainment with a bit of creativity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging for this game is durable and very organized. The game is for ages 10 and above and you may play with 2 -6 players.
I brought this to the school that I work at so they would be able to play it, when they had indoor recess. It was a bit confusing and complicated for them at first, but they all seemed to enjoy playing it once they got the hang of it.
I really liked that this game was different from a lot of the other games on the market and it was nice to have something new for the kids to play with in the classroom.

Fun for family game night!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Hasbro Galaxy Goldmine is a fun family game. Our family of four has played this many times and we find different strategies and methods to play. Even the packaging is unique and plays into the theme of the game. The recommended age is 10 and over. I agree with this recommendation, so it may not be the best for younger kids. I’d highly recommend this game to others looking for a fun and unique family game!
