My son is just now getting more hand eye coordination and this came really got him to focus and allowed him to practice with his colors and numbers. After he got the hang of it it did get a little bit easy so I would say maybe for a 2 to 3 year old would be the prime time frame to play this game but it's still a lot of fun for the entire family. As a family we take turns and we come up with some of our own rules but there are three variations of the game to be played which are all very fun. Our children loved seeing the ducks spin around and attempt to catch them. We found that the fishing hooks and ducks were easy enough for our 3 year old to manage and she was able to successfully play the game. The dial is easy enough for a child to turn, so there isn't a lot of parent intervention required to keep play going. It spins a bit slowly, so I feel it's a perfect game for ages 2-4.
