Holds the attention for a while. One thing i didn't enjoy is there's no on and off switch so you can't just turn it off if you want to. He loves the different sounds and phases the boat says. The Frog is his favorite character and it was a great figure to include. He comes back to this toy almost daily to play with. There are a handful of small accessories that can be positioned in various places around the ship. There are special features that slide out and small compartments to hold their treasures. And on top of all of this, there is a rotary dial on the top of the ship that plays lines from the different characters on the show! Now if only I could get them to SHARE it. With wheels on the bottom, it rolls across the floor with surprising ease and balance. And at a press of a button it lights up and has a variety of voice recordings that play - these are determined by the knob on the top above the captains quarters. Thankfully, there's also a volume control (high/low) as well as an off switch to help save battery power. There's also a retractable plank for making other toys walk the plank into shark infested carpets... As well as a magic treasure hiding compartment (my 5 year old son LOVES it and is enthralled by how it hides the treasure). As an adult, I have to say that this is a pretty ingenious idea. Included are a treasure chest, a telescope, a treasure coin token, a windsurfing board, the pirate boy and his pet (I think it's a) frog and some red pylon thing of which I have no idea what it's supposed to be.
