He just looked at it played for a few minutes and stopped. However once I engaged him describing the Joker as the villain, and Batman as the hero, my son got into the toy. Now our Batman and Joker toys go everywhere with us, to the beach, to backyard, when we go camping. I'll tell you this, this line of toys is durable. The style is fun resembling the same style of animation from some of the Batman cartoons. A must buy for Batman fanatics or even superhero fans. It holds its own to the roughness of a 4 year old very well. The hard plastic made the arms and legs very stiff to move The legs are one piece so he could not make the character walk. My boys like that the toy arms and legs move. They can put things in his hand as well.
