The doll version of Ariel is so pretty, and the way her hair was done (a mix of doll hair fibers and yarn) is really cool and interesting. I liked that she was packaged with her tail as a separate piece, because the box would have been gigantic otherwise. It was easy to put the tail together once unboxed. Ariel can sit or &quot;swim&quot; with her tail straight out, and her other points of articulation are her neck and shoulders. Her poses are somewhat limited, but the doll is also sturdier with fewer articulation points. Her top in painted on, but one of the scales wore away pretty quickly with my four-year-old's play (hence one star off).
