My daughter (age 4) has several of the Little People Princesses and their vehicles and other playsets and this is a great addition. Ariel in her mermaid form comes complete with her princess pet Flounder. Both are made with that same quality that comes with all the Fisher-Price Little People holding up to all kinds of play. Its so fun that your child can play with this toy during bath time. Its the perfect size toy for any toddler to play with at any time. The paint of the toy does not remove so in case your child put it in their mouth, it willn't cause any lead poison. My daughter who is 5yo loves playing with little tikes toys. She loves pretending that Ariel and founder are swimming and great friends. She even has them playing with her Elsa and Anna at their castle. She will plays for a good 30 minutes to an hour. As this is a common toy for my child (she has probably 100 other Little People and multiple Little People spaces) these toys were brought out of the box and there was excitement on day one. Ariel and Flounder stayed separate and were played with. When brought together with the rest of the Little People toys, Ariel immediately went missing. Flounder has still stuck around because my child is currently interested in animal toys. Although my daughter loves the Little Mermaid, that didn't really push the needle for her being excited about these. With Little Mermaid coming out in May this was right on time! This is well made just like all of the FP Little people. Our child was able to identify and recognize the characters from the movie and was attracted to the bright colors. Thankfullly they are made of sturdy plastic, as sometimes our child likes to play tornado. They fit into the little people vehicles and Princess Ariel reguarly drives around in our bright yellow schoolbus.
