It has provided him hours of fun and introduced him to dress up play. I love that it comes with the treasure chest that also acts as a holder for the toys. Zit comes with everything you need for a pirate adventure. Belt, binoculars, compass and so much more! Or, actually, for my kids! This is the cutest treasure chest I've ever seen! My kids have had so much fun playing pirate together. I was a bit worried the pirate hat wasn't going to cut my kids because they have a ton of hair that gets in the way but it actually fit pretty good. The belt was way too big though. I love the little sword, it's probably my favorite part. My boys love when I hide the diamonds, gold and silver so they can pretend to use the treasure map and find them. He loves looking for the treasures that we hide for him. And while playing, he wouldn't let his older sister touch anything. The only issue is being too immersed into the play. When he says he needs to find hidden treasures, he was hiding the gems under the couch which were thrown under there and out of arms reach. The packaging is spot on but it's still a cardboard box so even though it has the cute clasp and shape of a treasure box I don't know how long it will last (still going strong here after a week of play though). The hat and belt are a heavy foam-like material and also have held together surprisingly well for all the uses they've gotten. The viewer and sword have spots on the belt which is one of my daughter's favorite things and the belt is easy for her to put on (Velcro closure).
