Definitely recommended for almost anyone who loves fun colors and doodling. I kept a lot of people busy for a long time and not just kids! The feeling of the gel between the touch surface and light pad was also a pleasure for the tips. It is very high quality and durable! It has quickly become a must have in the car for my two year old. It is perfect to take on the go since it is mess free. My four and seven year old also love taking a turn but the toddler loves it the most so I would say it&rsquo;s best for under four. It is very fun how the colors can change and it glows when in the dark. The music plays a little too loud but that&rsquo;s the only thing I don&rsquo;t like about this product. My 5 year old managed to puncture the gel-like surface within the first hour of play. To give you an idea of what this is: It&rsquo;s similar to having a zip lock bag full of slime that&rsquo;s taped shut and attached to an led light board. You use your fingers to maneuver the goo inside. It won&rsquo;t keep the shapes for long and they&rsquo;re faint, but it&rsquo;s entertaining nonetheless and nice for sensory play. After using his fingers for so long my son wanted to include his regular toys in the drawing process and before you know it the squishy screen tore in two different places and was leaking out the blue ink gel. Said blue ink gel has my fingers stained and got all over my couch. The idea overall was nice but this is NOT a durable toy unless you&rsquo;ve got a child that doesn&rsquo;t poke/prod/or own figurines that they want to include in on the play. The led changing lights are entertaining, and it plays a different musical tune to each led color selected if you push the music button. It was frustrating for my toddler because you can&rsquo;t actually &lsquo;erase&rsquo; the board completely clear as there&rsquo;s always indents in the gel that show. This toy needs a lot of work and better reinforcement when it comes to the &ldquo;art surface&rdquo;.
