It is a pro series set which is meant for competitive battle and certain combinations/rippers and arenas wouldn't be very optimal. It says in the instructions that having pro equipment is necessary. However, if you're a novice into playing for fun, the beyblades are still compatible for average fun play. Just be aware that if you do battle, have the right equipment. It will make all the difference. The app even picks up the QR code to try combos on your phone.</span>
