This was like 2002. In 2003 I was fitted for a back brace and had to wear it for HOURS. I always felt so alone and misunderstood. I got picked on and humiliated because of my scoliosis. Last night when I was looking through the Barbie aisles, I found her. This little Chelsea doll that looks JUST like me! Or, like I did when I was a kid. I&rsquo;m 30 years old now, but I am so excited by this doll. And even better? Her body is moulded and ACTUALLY has scoliosis. You can see it in the way that her shoulders and hips aren&rsquo;t even. And if you take her dress off, you can even see the curvature of the spine! This doll made me cry. But in a good way. I wish I had her 20 some years ago. Thank you Mattel. I only knew one person who had one like me, and one person who had worn one in the past. As a result felt very self conscious and like people didn&rsquo;t understand.
