He found it a lot of fun to play with and liked that it didn't require a magnetic core to open up. The colour was fun, and the look of the Bakugan really appealed to him. The size makes it great for younger kids to play with, and easier to find when they roll away!
One drawback with this design is that the toy would come apart too easily during normal play. The first few times he got frustrated with putting it back together and needed adult assistance. After a day or so, he learned how it worked as was able to put it back together on his own.</span>

After we got through the initial experimentation period, we watched a quick clip and figured out how the cards are used. It can be a little bit of a challenge to roll over the correct spot to engage the opening mechanism, especially since we do not have any of the other products to use with it. We also found that the ball opened quite easily if dropped too hard. In the end it was enjoyed and played with for an extended time. It has also kickstarted his interest in Bakugan. Hands on toys are always a favourite and bring them back again and again.</span>
