I&rsquo;ve been super impressed w/ other Baby Einstein and V Tech toys (even if I can&rsquo;t stand all the bright coloured plastic or repetitive songs but my 9mo loves them so who cares). I debated between this and the TikTok crab toy for Christmas and had high hopes for it based on reviews and it looks cute but it&rsquo;s a waste of money. It will say one phrase on the button, roll for maybe 15 seconds and then shut off. The odd time it might do a second roll but has never done a third roll in the 2 months we&rsquo;ve owned it. It always stops and you have to shut the switch off and on and wait for it to go thru its intro again before you can push another button. Every. Single. Time. It gets stuck on the slightest of play mats then will shut off when it does (the little bot olfie play mat that has a beveled edge as well as a small play room rug that the TikTok crab has no problem getting up on). It&rsquo;s honestly a waste of money which is unfortunate bc my guy really likes it and always tries pushing it to start again and prefers it&rsquo;s light up buttons to the crab. It just shuts off so often and so easily that it&rsquo;s not worth the money. It&rsquo;s little legs are also too short so it struggles to get momentum to roll and will sometimes shut off if it&rsquo;s tried to get moving for a couple of seconds and is unsuccessful. It shuts off if it bumps into anything like your child, another toy, a curtain, a wall etc. Perhaps ours is defective tho but when I went back to toysrus they wouldn&rsquo;t do anything about it since it had been opened. It wiggles, it wobbles, it jiggles and it roars like a cute tiger cub. the ball helps to develop gross movement and pincer finger grip motor skills, plus with the addition of developing interest in languages. There are two volume settings which are designed to be controlled by a grown-up meaning I am able to set a volume that I am happy with, which I love...especially when working from home in the current climate! There are no soft parts on the ball, the entire construction is of firm and wipable, uniform plastic. This is such a fun, bright colourful crawling ball which looks like a tiger, it plays lots of different music, has 3 languages (Might as well start them young and it might teach me a thing or two) and also teaches things like colours shapes and numbers. I got this for my one-year-old daughter. She loved pressing buttons to watch it move. I think that a baby would get more entertainment from this than my daughter does. It is loud, but there is a volume switch to turn down the volume. It stopped rolling after about 2 weeks of being played with. I tried switching the settings and changing the batteries, but that didn't fix it. It still plays music though. My oldest toddler would drop it on the ground, so I don't know if my toddlers were too rough with it or if it is a defect. It&rsquo;s a really great value for everything that it does. It&rsquo;s perfect for baby to chase while learning to crawl. The bright colors, music, and wiggling gets him super excited. He&rsquo;s able to learn about shapes, numbers, and colors. I love that it teaches different languages too- which is really great for any little one. It&rsquo;s a nice size for traveling, as well. Mine did arrive with some scratches on its face.
